Snap's Specs augmented reality glasses cost $2,195 with Wi-Fi and $2,395 with Wi-Fi and cellular. Augmented reality pins digital objects into the room you see through the lenses, and Specs are Snap's bid to do it in a pair of glasses. Pre-orders on Specs.com are open in the US, the UK and France, and Snap says pairs start shipping in fall 2026.

A pre-order takes a refundable deposit of $200 in the US, £150 in the UK or €170 in France, for each pair, up to five pairs per customer. The deposit isn't an order confirmation: Snap contacts buyers closer to the shipping window to collect the balance, and refunds the deposit in full if the order is canceled before it's completed.

The glasses are see-through, with a 51-degree field of view, the share of your vision the digital image can cover. Two Snapdragon processors run Snap OS, and the battery lasts up to four hours of mixed use, or up to 20 hours with the charging case. Specs weigh 132 grams in the 47 mm size and 136 grams in the 52 mm size.

That's a premium price for a new category. Meta Ray-Ban Display costs $799 with the Meta Neural Band wristband and shows a small color screen in the right lens, and Even Realities G2 costs $599 and shows green text with no camera at all. Neither places 3D objects into the room around you, and Specs cost almost three times as much as Meta's glasses.

Meta's own next step is a different kind of device: Meta VR Glasses, a pair of about 100 grams tethered to a pocket compute unit, due in spring 2027 at $1,299.99. For a wider look at headsets and glasses on sale now, see our guide to the best VR headset.
